Dr. Jessica Richardson

Dr. Jessica Richardson

Veterinarian

Dr. Jessica Richardson is an Arizona native and 2015 graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion is senior wellness with a focus on preventive care, pain management, and providing a beautiful end of life. She also loves dentistry, dermatology, and behavior. She is certified in Hospice and Palliative Care. She is also currently pursuing certifications in Veterinary Pain Management and Rehabilitative Therapy (physical therapy for pets). It’s possible she has a thing for the whole never stop learning.

Dr. Richardson grew up on a small ranch in Southeastern Arizona with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, even cows and pigs. Her mother is also a veterinarian and growing up she would often spend her summers assisting her. She was active in the 4-H and FFA communities before attending Arizona State University where she worked in student outreach and research. After ASU, she attended UC Davis, where she worked in wildlife research during veterinary school before returning to Arizona to work in small animal general practice.

Outside the office, she spends time with her 3 dogs (a Westie, a Great Dane, and a Leonberger), 3 cats, and various exotic animals (hedgehogs, guinea pig, freshwater tropical fish, and two cockatiels). She enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Her other half reluctantly enjoys the menagerie she’s managed to accumulate. He will admit the Dane is cute in his backpack sometimes.
